The Australian Government will only ever talk about Japan's whaling program when we raise it in Parliament, like I did today. Yesterday the whaling fleet left port in Japan, headed for the Southern Ocean to slaughter 333 minke whales. Yet this coming Friday, Australia will be rolling out the red carpet to the Prime Minister of Japan and we don't even know if Australia will raise formal objections with him at all.
